Wonderful tutorials! I did not find them hard to understand at all and I really appreciate that you include the text to refer to as well. The first tutorial I used was on another site (hadn’t found these yet) and I got an idea of what I could do with Blender. I wish I had seen this tutorial first - it gives a good basic overview and getting a look at the other tutorials offered here, I can see so many possibilites now! Thanks again for this.

just installed blender2.4.7 and got scared looking at the UI……felt like i entered an alien space craft or something similar…..this video helps a lot . though the voice quality is to be improved on. The video is nice and engaging and informative.

I would love to see a clothing baking tutorial done with blender including shiny textures …

I can understand the voices just fine! Not sure where people are having problems understanding it.

Great tutorials, these have helped me out a whole lot!

@JerrySmith: Concerning the speach processor technology, we find highly differing opinions about the quality. Some people tell us, they can understand without any difficulties, other telll us, they don’t understand a single word.

It may be a matter of getting used to the voice and the more your hear it, the better you understand it. So meanwhile, we possibly are highly biased to a certain extent.

So please can you give us a couple of examples, where the voice fails for you personally? The best would be, you tell us, what you think, you hear.
The full transcription is published above, so you could directly refer to it, if you like. So we can better find out, what exactly makes the problems.

And if you know about any other speach software, which gives better results, we would happily take a look at it. We are currently don’t know anything better.

I personally would have favored to use a british accented voice. But the machinimatrix team favorised the now used voice.

While a nice idea in theory, the speech software you’re using for this video is absolutely terrible. Many parts impossible to understand and it detracts from the lesson itself.
