The PrimstarInfotainment at its best. This is a short film about a builder who receives the order to create a five pointed star. Unfortunately she has not the slightest idea how to manage this built in the given time. So she activates her strongest weapon against lack of knowledge (again) …

That was an awesome short. As torley mentioned was fun and educational. Please keep these coming, of course with tutorials like this everyone will learn to build =) What an amazing world that would be.
Fantastic!!!
What a marverous movie!
Of course, I think the tutorial itself is better one. But,,, the story and technics of the movie is, very very moving.
Thank you so much for your contents! I really appreciate you.
kisses
WOW – this was very enjoyable!
Are there places in SL to go and learn how to make this kind of film or groups that can help understand how to make the characters move and speak this way or how to capture the cinematography?
Your teaching videos are fantastic, and these story ones are excellent! (The acting is good too!)
It is really wonderful!!! The video is amazing, I haven’t ever seen such a good machinima work! And I would definitely love to see more videos like that!
And once again thank you SO VERY MUCH you all for all the work and sharing it with us! It is very helpful!
Ohhh Gaia! Wonderfull lovely video! You put SO much work into Primstar and SL, together with Domino, it’s simply amazing. The video is funny too
Thanks for all your work!
Great video and tutorial. I made my own primstar, but it doesn’t look perfect in SL. It appears slightly mangled and doesn’t have the sharp edges that yours does. It looked perfect when I first uploaded the 32×8 sculpt map and created the star in SL. But when I came back to SL the next day, the star had lost some of its shape and was no longer perfect. Is 32×8 the problem?
@ Sunn
my primstar came out perfect =)
Watch the tutorial about precise sculpties
Please note, that currently only image sizes of 64*64, 32*128, 16*256 and 8*512 can be imported to SL lossless. All other image sizes suffer from severe distortions. See http://forums.secondlife.com/showthread.php?t=320205&highlight=oblong for more informations about that. Also see http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-8551 for more technical details. So your sculptmap should be 128*32 and not 32*8 … You can create a new image of that size and rebake to that one. Your star will come out as you want it to be
Thank you, Gaia! I appreciate the advice. What a messy little bug…
I added a comment to the JIRA that it would be helpful if LL warned us during image upload that something like 32×8 is going to cause problems (at least until they fix the bug). That way, we don’t all have to rediscover this issue on our own.
such a wonderful way to learn how to create ! I see more how SL & Blender can be used – the potential begins to be revealed here . . . so delightfully
I’m so glad you showed me this, Hussayn. Beautiful work from your team! I enjoyed it very much, and wasn’t expecting it to be so simultaneously educational AND entertaining. How often do I see something which combines the holiday spirit and Second Life building culture? Hardly ever, so this is a rarity!
The little touches, like the lens flare, and certainly many of the camera angles really helped add whimsy and life to it. The oracle speaking on the wall cracked me up. I was going to add this to my Tumblr blog but it doesn’t appear embeddable so if you get it up on YouTube or Vimeo let me know…
Well done! The graphics and movements are so good, also love the camera angles. Voices, foley, all is good!! Well done guys!
I give it two paws up! I already posted on the SL forum about this but had to leave a comment here as well. Everything about this was great, from the voices, the sound effects, humour, and how the lesson was tied in. Would love to see more like this. Merry Christmas all!
Great work! Loved it!
Oh, and the animations were amazing! hehe (spoken like an animator who contributed a touch to the film, eh?) Can’t wait to see the next one, guys…!
Cute story and really well filmed, making the best of SL.
