Spikes after Mesh upload

Important Note: Please take a minute to read the Tutorial license terms.

We have created a modified Collada Exporter for Blender-2.49b that supports:

  • Setting the measurement unit
  • Checking if a rigged mesh has got weighted vertices

Thanks for all the wonderful tutorials. I have learned a lot from them and am now very proficient with sculpts using Blender and Jass. Never would have gotten out of 3DMax without your tutorials. I am wondering if I can move the vertices in the crotch area of my mesh (It’s a Male Avatar)into the stomach and reload the weights to correct the issue of the crotch pulling apart like parachute pants. I tried simply moving them a little here and there, but it seems the weights are set to each vertices and won’t change. I’d like to set each of those vertices to NOT move with the legs if possible. I have yet to find a tutorial for painting or fixing each single vertex weight so just wondering.

I’m wondering if an answer was given to this? I’ve looked all over and can’t seem to find it. I’m curious if the problem areas of an Sl avatar can be fixed this way?
