The Construction Parameters:

  • U Faces (Default=8): Range[3,…] Number of faces along the Sphere circumference
  • V Faces (Default=8): Range[1,…] Number of faces along the z-axis
  • Rotate U (Default:0): Range [-360, 360] The rotation angle along the Z-axis. Interesting together with the Mirror modifier.

Note: The topmost and bottom most rows of vertices are collapsed to poles. This makes texturing a bit more complicated. If you do not take care, you will end up with black triangles near the poles when texturing with blender. You can avoid this problem by opening the poles a bit (make tiny holes at the poles, then create the texture. Now the dark triangles no longer appear. (This trick is only needed for texturing. The sculptie itself can keep the closed poles.
